ABOUT
Women's 1st team
Rugby Borough Women’s First Team compete in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division, the highly competitive third tier of women’s football.
The squad is semi-professional, with a clear ambition to win promotion back to the Championship and return to full-time football.
In May 2023, the team rebranded from Coventry United Ladies FC to Rugby Borough Women. The move came after years without a true home ground, as the team had previously played at Butts Park Arena, home of Coventry Rugby. Rugby Borough offered the stability and community support the club needed, making it the perfect place to build the next chapter of their journey.
The 2024 season saw Rugby Borough capture national attention with a historic FA Cup run, battling their way to the fifth round where they faced Women’s Super League giants Liverpool. As the lowest-ranked team left in the competition, they delivered a gritty, determined performance that showcased their quality and ambition, cementing their reputation as a club on the rise.
