ABOUT
Rugby Borough Women & Girls Football Club
Founded in 2019, we have built something genuinely special: a club where girls at every level, from first kick to performance football, are supported, challenged and given every opportunity to thrive.
Our teams compete across Saturday and Sunday leagues, including the Leicestershire Women and Girls League, JPL Warriors, Mid-Warwickshire and Central Warwickshire Girls League, giving players the right competitive environment at every stage of their development.
Behind every team is a community of dedicated coaches and volunteers who show up every week because they believe in what we are building.
If you are looking for the best place in Rugby for your daughter to play football, you have found it.
proud to be
women led
Our leadership team was founded with an all women committee and still has a majority of women on the committee.
Our committee are all committed to growing and developing each and every woman or girl who comes through our door to reach their fullest football potential.

We believe in football for all and that all girls regardless of ability, background or experience have a place at our club.

a clear
talent pathway
Our pathway begins at age four with our FA Approved Wildcats Centre and runs all the way through to open-age football and national league competition. Whatever stage your daughter is at, there is a place for her here.
Every session across the club is delivered by FA qualified coaches who are DBS checked and first aid trained. We hold ourselves to high standards because your daughter deserves nothing less.
Our club journey
April 2026
Female Talent Pathway
Developed in partnership with Rugby Borough Women FC, the pathway aims to bridge the gap between grassroots and elite football, offering a high-performance environment while allowing players to continue representing their local teams.
The programme will initially feature Under-12s and Under-16s sides, both of whom will compete in the JPL Warriors league- widely recognised as one of the highest standards of girls’ football in the country.
August 25
Female leadership programme
On 29th August 2025, twelve players aged 13 to 17 from Rugby Borough Women & Girls FC took part in a hands-on Football Leaders Experience Programme at Kilsby Lane, led by former England Lioness Kerys Harrop and Aston Villa Women professional coach Madi Highfield. The girls got practical experience in coaching, refereeing and leadership, and will each work towards two accredited awards (the Junior Football Leaders Award and the FA Play Maker Award), backed up by a minimum of 10 hours of real coaching and support within the club to put their new skills straight into action.
