ABOUT

Rugby Borough Women & Girls Football Club

Welcome to Rugby Borough Women and Girls FC, the home of the famous orange shirt and the best place to come to play female football in Rugby and the borough.

Our girls teams primarily play on Sundays in the Leicestershire Women & Girls League. We also have a number of girls teams who play on Saturdays in girls or boys leagues.

Founded in 2019 we have grown from strength to strength with the help and support of our volunteers, coaches and through funding for girls football.

proud to be

women led

Our leadership team was founded with an all women committee and still has a majority of women on the committee.

Our committee are all committed to growing and developing each and every woman or girl who comes through our door to reach their fullest football potential.

We believe in football for all and that all girls regardless of ability, background or experience have a place at our club.

a clear

talent pathway

Our pathway starts from the youngest girls playing at our FA Approved Wildcats Centre from 4 years old through to women’s football age 16+.

Our aim at Rugby Borough Women & Girls FC is to provide opportunities for all females, young or old, to benefit from our advanced coaching sessions delivered by our minimum level 1 FA qualified coaches who are fully FA DBS checked and also FA first aid trained.

OUR CLUB JOURNEY

our sixth season

The new season sees more teams forming with players graduating from the Wildcats programme.

The new Women’s section of the club (previously playing as Coventry Utd) is now established giving the girls an opportunity to watch professional sports women at their club as well as the playing pathway being strengthened.

EUROS EXCITEMENT BUILDS

As part of the FA build up to the Women’s Euros one of the Rugby Borough Girls MJPL players won a competition for the WSL trophy to visit her club!

A special training session was arranged so all members had a chance to come and see the trophy first hand and have their picture taken!

At the time we could only dream that our Lionesses would get to lift it as winners!
