U21s team
The U21s development squad is the final step in the Rugby Borough FC female talent pathway before the first team.
For players who have progressed through grassroots football or the Female Talent Pathway, the U21s is where that development comes together in a competitive senior environment.
The squad currently competes in the National Women’s League Southern Premier Division and trains to the same standards and coaching principles as the Rugby Borough Women FC first team. Players who have come through the pathway will already be familiar with the culture and expectations here, and that continuity is deliberate.
Being in the u21s
About the squad
The U21s provides a challenging but supportive environment for players aged 16 to 21 who are ready to take the next step in their development. Whether you have come through the FTP, another pathway club, or grassroots football, if you have the ability, attitude and ambition, we want to hear from you.
We work closely with the first team coaching staff to ensure the squad is developing players who are genuinely ready for senior women's football, not just technically, but in terms of mentality, fitness and tactical understanding too.
Multiple sessions weekly
Our U21s take part in two training sessions per week. All sessions are structured to match senior team training principles.
National league competition
Our U21s currently play in the FA Women's National League Reserve South East Division.
