Katy Morris is a very experienced central midfielder, known for being a box-to-box player with a serious engine. Born in Wigan in 1994 and brought up a Manchester City fan, she left Blackburn Rovers at 18 to take up a scholarship at the University of West Alabama, playing there for four years. After graduating, she moved to Scotland for a postgraduate scholarship at the University of Stirling, playing in SWPL 1 for two years. During this time, Katy was selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Games in Taipei, 2017.
In 2018, Katy moved back home and spent a season in tier four with Bolton Wanderers and Chorley Women, before signing with Coventry United in the Women’s Championship (WSL2) in 2019, a club that would eventually become Rugby Borough. She played a vital part in the famous “Great Escape” season, 2022/23, when the team avoided relegation on the final day after a points deduction.
Hobbies: Supporting Manchester City, going to the cinema, she loves all kinds of films, and spending time with friends and family.
