MATCH REPORT

U12 Girls v Quorn

3rd November 2022

The windy weather, the boggy pitch, the 45 minute drive or the late nights due to Halloween could all have played their part in this weeks match that was certainly a game of two halves.

The game versus Quorn started promisingly with Freya scoring within the first few minutes after a cross in from Isla.

Unfortunately as the first half continued the opposition started to dominate and got an equaliser, this could have possibly been more if not for some good goal keeping from Chloe.

Coming on for the second half it was clear the coaches had done some motivational speaking.  The girls quickly showed their usual prowess with Anna and Megan linking up well for Ruby to score.

In quick succession Freya showed some great dribbling skills to pass the defenders and score her second goal.

At this point the girls were dominating the game.  Ese and Jess made a great run together up the field for Jess to score.  The defenders, Lexi, Ava and Peyton kept everything tight at the back and ensured the ball was quickly played forward for continued attacks.

Maia did a very good job as captain tracking back when needed and making plenty of tackles.  Peyton then made a great pass up the wing to Isla who made a fantastic run at goal to score a well deserved goal

Into the dying minutes Anna made a cross into the box for Freya to get her hat trick.

A fantastic 2nd half performance delivered a 6-1 win and kept an excellent run going.

Player of the match was Isla for showing great skill & and a well taken goal.
