Hope4 Donation
14th December 2022
The club did a food bank donation drive and the crates of food etc were all delivered this evening to the Hope4 Food Bank in Rugby.
The idea to do this came from one of our coaches, Darren Fox, and was taken onboard by Rugby Borough Football Club. On short notice, in just over 2 weeks we gathered together enough food and non perishables to fill half of a transit van, which has weighed in at an amazing 841.2kg! We have to thank Marcin Szulc of Pertemps for helping with transport, as well as a sizable donation of food.
Some of our young players helped to load the van and take the donations to the food bank, which is located next to the Benn Hall in town.
Adi Robinson, who manages the foodbank and the Hope4 project in Rugby, was on hand to explain to our players why helping others at this time of year is even more important than usual, with the cost of living crisis making a huge impact.
