A great start for our U8 Leopards!

Rugby Borough’s newest team, our Under 8 Leopards have had an eventful first month in the league!
Most importantly, the team were delighted to receive their brand new kits, very kindly sponsored by Landmark Surveys and Developments – a huge thank you from the girls!
MATCH REPORTS
Ashfordby Amateurs away
Kicking off their first league match away to Ashfordby Amateurs, the Leopards did incredibly well to play the whole 40 minutes in heavy rain. Wearing their raincoats under their shirts may have been their secret weapon as every one of the girls gave it their all, with Ivy-Lin and Romillie both being awarded Players of the Match.
Croft Junior Sapphires away
The following Sunday, our Leopards travelled again to face Croft Junior Sapphires. The girls fought throughout the match against a tough side, and had several near misses at goal! Our well deserved Player of the Match award went to Quinn, who played in goals with a smile for the full game!
Nuneaton Borough at home
Raring to go in their latest match against Nuneaton Borough on Sunday, the Leopards were looking like the cat’s pyjamas in their new kit! Feeling much more at home on Kilsby Lane’s 3G turf, the girls were comfortable with the ball at their feet and battled really well to break through Nuneaton’s defence. A massive well done to Esme who was Player of the Match for her brilliant attacking play!
OTHER NEWS
In other news, some of our Leopards travelled to watch Leicester City Women v Liverpool FC Women in Burton in the Conti Cup and Leicester City Women v Arsenal Women in the WSL at the King Power Stadium. The girls were so pleased to meet some of their role models including Leicester’s goalkeeper Kirstie Levell and Liverpool’s Missy Bo Kearns!
