Christmas takeover brings festive fun to the club

Last Friday, the club was full of festive spirit as we hosted a special Christmas takeover event for our girls, a brilliant way to celebrate the season before breaking up for Christmas.

The women’s team led the way outdoors, running fun football games that kept everyone active, smiling, and fully in the spirit of the game. Inside, the festivities continued with a packed schedule of Christmas activities, including a snowball toss, candy cane hunt, player portrait station, Christmas bingo, and a raffle that added an extra buzz of excitement throughout the evening. Some of our coaches even got involved with the Christmas bingo and were slightly gutted to miss out on the big prize!

The atmosphere was fantastic, with laughter, energy, and plenty of festive cheer as the girls enjoyed the chance to celebrate together before the Christmas break.

Alongside the festivities, the event also raised an incredible £519 for the women and girls sections. The girls share will be re-invested directly back into the club to support continued development and experiences.

To round off the day, each girl received their traditional selection box gift from the club, the perfect festive treat and a lovely way to end a brilliant event.
