Rugby Borough U16 Colts (2) vs Coventry Saracens (1)

The Colts were made to dig deep and stand up to some ferocious tacking to come away with a deserved victory. Unfortunately the win was soured when a late tackle on Archie in the dying minutes broke his leg, with a long recovery ahead of him everyone associated with the team and club wish him a speedy recovery.

Despite falling behind to a penalty in the first half, Colts competed well and brought themselves back into the match as Archie, Somi and Thomas saw more of the ball in attack. Sam and Fin’s energy in midfield was great to see, as was the solid defence with Sam making some good saves. Colts equalised when Somi went on a driving run from midfield, beating five players and finishing well. Shortly after a great long ball by Archie split the defence and put Somi in to score the winner. A great victory that felt more like a loss.
