Leopards

Rugby Borough Leopards were formed in the 2022/23 season, with a number of the girls progressing from Wildcats at Rugby Borough.

At the heart of the team is the belief that football should be fun, while learning and growing. It’s all about trying new things, making mistakes, and developing along the way.

The players and parents have built strong friendships, and it’s not uncommon to spot the Leopards cheering on Rugby Borough Women or their favourite WSL teams up and down the country. They love taking part in summer tournaments, enjoying quality time together as much as the football itself.

In 2022/23, the girls played their very first matches in the Leicestershire Women & Girls U8 league. By the 2023/24 season, they embraced the added challenge of moving up to 7-a-side football in the Under 10s league, as the team grew with new players joining.

Now in the 2024/25 season, the Leopards are an U10 team playing in the U11 league. They’ve earned a place in the top-tier Platinum league, so they’re not only taking on the new 9-a-side format and mastering the offside rule, but also facing off against the best teams in the year above.
