The girls arrived at very muddy St Andrews hoping to continue their excellent form & that’s exactly what they did.  Rugby had the luxury of a full squad of 12 players for the first time ever which meant the subs bench was well used by all.

The girls were shooting uphill in the 1^st half and defending the mud bath at the bottom of the hill.   The first few minutes were even with both sides feeling each other out however Rugby quickly got into their stride putting pressure on their opponents through excellent wing play from Ruby who on several occasions ran through the defence only to be denied by good goalkeeping. 

Rugby had thought they had taken the lead after Megan connected perfectly with a great cross from Anna to see it bounce down of the bar,  the girls claimed for the goal but it wasn’t given. 

The 1^st half continued with dominance from Rugby creating lots of chances whilst at the back Lyra & Sophia were making vital interceptions to prevent any breakaways.  Despite the best efforts & somewhat against the run of play the girls were caught out by a long ball and the thick mud in the goalmouth presenting St Andrews with a simple chance to convert.

Rugby dusted themselves down and went back on the attack & were rewarded moments later when a great cross from Ruby was turned home by Anna to bring it level.  Not content with the this Rugby stretched ahead just a minute later with a fine run & finish from Megan.

Into the 2^nd half & the same trend continued with Rugby pinning their opponents back.  Peyton was showing what a great defender she has become by continuously winning the ball back and showing excellent composure to start attacks.  Leah showed her versatility again by covering multiple positions demonstrating she can tackle & pass well.  

The large squad meant that wingers could be rotated and the fresh legs of Ava & Amber really stretched St Andrews,  both showing great determination and skill to move the team forward whilst Emily came in to make the tackles in midfield to break down opposition play.  

Chloe was looking forward to diving about in the mud however the defenders in front of her did a great job to limit any chances however as always when called upon Chloe showed safe hands and good kicking.

The team kept creating lots of chances and for the 2^nd game in a row Ese was on hand with two excellent finishes to seal the game. It was another fantastic performance from the girls who continue to impress the coaches & parents every week with their excellent passing, teamwork & no shortage of skill.
