FA Playmaker qualifications: Sophie, Sienna and Mia lead the way

28th March 2026

Back in August, we shared the story of twelve of our 13–17-year-old players taking part in our Football Leaders Experience Programme – a day led by Kerys Harrop and Madi Highfield that challenged our girls to think beyond playing and explore coaching, refereeing and leadership.

Today, we’re delighted to share that Sophie, Sienna and Mia have officially completed their FA Playmaker qualification – and not just the course itself. All three have gone the extra mile by completing their 10 hours (minimum) of volunteer time within the club, putting their learning into real, meaningful practice.

That means they’ve done exactly what the programme set out to achieve: taking the inspiration from that August day and turning it into action – whether that’s supporting Wildcats sessions, assisting with team training, refereeing or helping coach our younger age groups.

It’s a huge achievement and one we’re incredibly proud of. These three have shown exactly the kind of attitude and commitment that will shape the future of women’s and girls’ football – not just here at Rugby Borough, but in the wider game.

A massive well done to Sophie, Sienna and Mia. 👏

If you’re inspired by their story and want to find out more about volunteering or leadership opportunities within the club, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
