Diamonds

Rugby Borough Diamonds were established in 2024, bringing together a talented squad with a strong foundation. Half of the team originated from Daventry Town FC, while the other half comprises skilled players from across Warwickshire. United by passion and dedication, the Diamonds are ready to make their mark on the pitch.

Throughout the summer, the players built strong relationships, leading to success on the field, winning multiple trophies while having fun along the way. Our focus is on building a strong team ethic, which is reflected in our style of play – quick passing, intelligent movement, and relentless work rate.

Our journey began in the 2024 Mid Warwickshire League, starting in Tier 3 and progressing to Tier 2 by Christmas, culminating in victory as we lifted the Rugby Borough U10 Boys League Cup. The girls have embraced the challenge of playing in a boys’ league, pushing themselves physically and tactically every week to play their best football.

Throughout the 2024/25 season, the Diamonds have competed against ETC teams, travelling to Peterborough, Derby, Leicester, and Birmingham, continuously testing themselves against high-level opposition. As the group thrives both on and off the pitch, their strong friendships and team spirit drive them to keep improving.

Looking ahead to summer 2025, the team is preparing to take on new challenges in national tournaments, including the ESF Tour at Butlins Skegness, as well as several local competitions. With their relentless determination and love for the game, the Diamonds are ready to shine on every stage they step onto.
