Sophie started in goal and made some important saves for Borough in the first half. She moved out on to the field for the second half and got stuck in to her midfield position. 

Lara again showed how much she’s developing as a young player who’s growing in confidence. She’s happy to chase down lost balls and pass balls to her team mates. 

Isla put in another strong performance, getting stuck in from her midfield position. Late in the second half she had two cracking attempts at goal. Her first goal for the team still evades her but she’s getting closer. The Ansty goalkeeper was brilliant all match and proved tricky to get around.

Mia played out from the back proving to be vital to the defence, winning the ball in strong tackles and then running the ball back up the pitch to take a shot or pass to one of her team mates.

Isabel played well all match, chasing down the ball and holding possession of the ball well. She switched in to goal for the second half and confidently caught the ball several times. 

Brooke was our player of the match today for putting in a strong performance all match. She made a spectacular shot on target in the first half which both teams spectators were impressed with! Well done Brooke!

The two teams were very evenly matched throughout the game, the win really could have gone to either team.
