The new under 8’s team are working hard on preparations for their first season with plenty of friendlies in the diary. Today they headed to Daventry for their first away game and first time playing on a grass pitch. 

As ever the girls are delighted to see each other and to get a chance to put into practice what they have been working on in training. 

The girls got off to a strong start and worked hard to make the right decisions and stick to their positions. They were quickly rewarded with a goal and their confidence soared with each goal they scored. 

There were a few times the girls were tested in defence but they closed down the play and quickly got the ball out of the danger zone.  

Each of the girls worked really hard the whole time they were on the field. It was great to see them having so much fun together and to see how proud they were of themselves when they pulled off a great shot or save.
