MATCH REPORT

U9 Girls v Albert Village U9’s

25th April 2021

What a cracking game to watch!

As ever the girls got stuck in right from kick off and made it clear they were going to be pushing for goals today.

Mia had her shooting boots on and put their defence under pressure several times. As well as her own chances she was passing the ball to her team mates throughout the game to keep the opposition guessing.

Isla worked hard all match and really stayed committed to her job in each position that she played today. She’s growing in confidence each week and her hard work is paying off.

Rugby Borough U9 Girls

Elisia had another great spell in goal, showcasing a brilliant dive to deflect an attempt from Albert Village. She wasn’t at all intimidated by the other team when she was out on the field. She got really stuck into tackles and worked hard to maintain possession.

Isabel had a great game too. She switched up her play and put in some brilliant crosses for her team mates.

Lara tested Albert Village’s defence more than once and was unlucky not to see the result she wanted on a couple of attempts. She also defended well pushing the ball out to the wings to keep the pressure off the keeper.

Super Sophie was full of energy all match. She had a quarter in goal but the rest of the time she was out on the pitch chasing and running with the ball. She looked like she was thoroughly enjoying playing today. She was deservedly awarded player of the match today, well done Sophie!
