Another amazing win for Rugby Borough U12s against GNG. In the first half we dominated the game, with goalkeeper Harriet having to do very little during this entire half.

With many shots on the GNG goal by Tumi, Emme and Rosa all having near misses. Isla, who was making her debut came close to scoring as her shot bounced off the bar and into the GNG keepers hands.

Eventually Evie’s precise pass through to Ella, allowed her to finally get it past the GNG keeper to make the score 0-1 at half time.

The second half kicked off and Borough were equally as strong. Our defence consisting of Ellie, Katie, Connie and Sharon continued to keep it out of our half. Keeper Harriet stayed alert with a brilliant save from a GNG free kick just outside of the box.

With the help of several great passes in from Emme and Evie on the wings and Olivia in the middle, goals soon came in quick succession.

First Rosa scored, shortly followed by another one from Beth. Tumi slammed her first goal into the back of the net. And in her first game, Sharon, despite playing defence came down the field like a bolt of lightning and scored too.

Just before the end of the game Tumi slipped another past the GNG keeper making the final score 0-6 to Rugby. 

Well played girls, another great result and fantastic to see the things we learn in training put to use in a game.
