A dominant performance from the U11’s

Rugby Borough U11’s hosted Epworth Forest on a sunny morning at Kilsby Lane. The instruction to the girls was to play as they have been doing but add more goals & they definitely delivered in this match.

Immediately from the start Rugby were on the front foot with some great link up play between Megan & Ava creating chances down the left wing, over on the other side Anna & Ruby were passing through the opposition defence to create opportunities.  Emily joined the game to make sure the team kept pressing forward

Epworth defended well in the opening period but came undone through some great strikes from Megan and then again from a long range effort from Ava.  The defence were rock solid all game with Lyra, Leah & Peyton making lots of great interceptions,  on the one occasion that Epworth managed to get through Chloe was on hand to make a fantastic save.

The girls were encouraged to push on in the 2^nd half and keep creating chances, they started exactly as they had left off with the Peyton & Lyra controlling everything at the back whilst Leah & Megan were dominating the ball in the middle of the park.  

Ava, Anna & Emily kept taking the ball forward to set up some great opportunities for the team.  Ruby & Megan were on hand to take full advantage of the chances that came their way.  Chloe had a quiet time of it in the 2^nd half but was always there to deal with anything that did come her way.

Another excellent performance from the girls who continued their brilliant start to the season.
