MATCH REPORT

U10 Girls V Rugby Town

24th April 2021

Another excellent showing from the girls on a sunny Friday night at Kilsby Lane

Our friends at Rugby Town brought over their new team for a friendly match, taking advantage of the light nights & excellent weather.

With our largest squad of the season it gave us the chance to rotate the girls throughout the match.  We started off on the front foot with Amber, Emily & Anna leading the attacks well using great dribbling and desire to get up the pitch.  In the middle of the park Peyton was doing what she does best,  breaking up play and driving the team forward where at the back Sophia & Lyra showed great teamwork to keep the opposition out.

We welcomed Leah back in goal after missing a couple of games to injury and she was very assured throughout showing great composure and setting the team off on attach with excellent kick outs

As we moved through the game we swapped the girls about,  Ruby came on to lead the line brilliantly as she has done since she joined us,  Megan playing here first game for us showed fantastic ability in the middle of park, repeatedly winning the ball and playing precise passes to her teammates.  Alannah playing only her 2nd ever game showed excellent skill in running forward and picking out some perfect passes to move the team on.  At the back both Summer & Deeksha formed an excellent partnership working together to block and tackle anything that came their way.

Player of the match was Amber for excellent attacking play

The coaches are delighted with the football the girls have been playing over the past few games & it’s brilliant to see all of the girls enjoying their football.
