Borough came into the second half with new impetus and soon took a deserved lead in the 55th minute through a strike from just inside the box by G Webster. As Borough looked to extend their advantage, N Whittam then headed over from a corner at the far post.
G Webster and B West were then replaced by J Turton and C Macenroe as part of a tactical change.

As the opposition saw less ball possession, Borough began to take control of the game and were rewarded when C Macenroe extended boroughs lead with a well-executed volley at the far post following great link up down the right in which C Bromage, J Turton and B O Reilly were all involved.

From there on, it was all about managing the game for the remaining few minutes. And in the final moments of the game, G Mcgahey wrapped up the victory with great control and finish following a superb through ball from the impressive N Whittam.

Interviewed after the game, RBFC manager D Elliot said he was pleased with the result and the application  and attitude the side have been showing in training.
