The Colts were in excellent form in this game, and dominated the game from the start. But they were made to wait until almost half time to score, when Archie slotted past the keeper under pressure.

The Colts passed the ball around with confidence, with numerous attacks starting from the defenders who showed great composure on the ball under pressure. Resilient defending, including a great tackle from Nathan, meant Sam collected his first clean sheet of the season.

Somi’s pace caused the Bulkington defenders problems, with him twice being fouled in the area and Thomas stepping up to beat the keeper from the spot on both occasions. Thomas claimed a hat-trick when his tame goal-bound shot was hammered past the keeper by a defender.

All in all, it was a great team effort that was entertaining and was applauded by the opposition manager. The team continue the season with confidence as they find the form which they showed last season
